Recording Studio business Do I need a business license to have people pay for music recording studio in my bedroom?

I have a spare bedroom that I have created to be my own recording studio. If I have local people come to use it, and get paid for it, it makes me qualify as a business? If so, do I have to get a business license, or have a house zoned for this? What I can do to prevent this? (Legally, of course)

Well, if you young (under 18), then you probably do not need a license. However, if you are over 18 years and has a lot of 'traffic' in your house (people coming and going all the time), then yes, that's when zoning laws come into force. If you have a lot of 'trafficking', finally least one of their angry neighbors and report this activity to the police or another agency. You, personally, can not have your home "zoned" for a particular business. His house is zoned as residential or mixed use (probably zoned residential). The income you make must be reported on your annual income statement federal taxes – but again, if you are under 18 years, the IRS does not really care. If you are over 18, after the IRS begins to start to care. unreported income will cost you more in the way of sanctions by the IRS than it would cost to get a business license as a sole proprietorship. My brother —————– and I to run a limousine company (yes, you have license) of our house. But I have a neighbor tired of the "constant traffic and activity, and the boom, here comes a person who works for a state agency. We had no problem – but basically had to close because it is essentially illegal to run a business residential neighborhood areas. I mean, if I was doing the accounting for small businesses in my house (which actually turned and not for 20 + years), no communications. But if you have cars coming and going all the time, people notice.
